Meet Our Attorneys
John R. McCravy, III
John began his legal career in 1985 as a Staff Attorney for the Supreme Court of South Carolina. His education includes a BA from Clemson University and a Juris Doctor degree from University of South Carolina School of Law. John has taught higher education courses in Constitutional, Criminal Law, and is currently an adjunct professor for Lander University.
Representative McCravy has been representing clients in a private practice for 30 years. He is licensed to proactive and tried cases in all South Carolina trial and appellate courts including Circuit Court, the South Carolina Court of Appeals, and South Carolina Supreme Court. Rep. McCravy also licensed to practice and tried cases in Federal District Court and admitted to practice in the 4th Circuit Court.
Timothy A. Clardy
Mr. Clardy has been representing clients in private practice since 2006, and representing Social Security disability claimants since 2010. Mr. Clardy is proud to be a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives. Through his education and experience, Mr. Clardy holds board certification from the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Social Security Disability Advocate. Mr. Clardy exclusively handles disability claims nationwide.
Caroline Taylor
Caroline Taylor began her legal career with the McCravy, Newlon, Clardy Law Firm after the completion of her legal education. Ms. Taylor obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Lander University, graduating summa cum laude from the Lander University Honors College. She attained a Juris Doctor from Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law. Ms. Taylor is an Associate Attorney with our firm who focuses on Social Security Disability. She is licensed to practice in all Alabama trial and appellate courts. Ms. Taylor is a member of the Alabama Bar Association and is active in her church at Mount Lebanon Methodist Church where she serves as a church council member.
Lindsey McGaha-Murray
Lindsey McGaha-Murray is an Associate Attorney with our firm who focuses on Social Security Disability. She has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Western Carolina University then obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2012 from Charlotte School of Law where she then passed the North Carolina Bar. She has over 10 years of experience in Social Security and Domestic Law.
Lindsey loves spending time with her family and dogs. In her free time, she enjoys photography and ocean life. She also loves to bring awareness and donations to animal shelters. Lindsey is passionate about helping people in any way that she can, and that makes her a perfect match for the mission of our law firm and for our clients. Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11.
Jon E. Newlon
Mr. Newlon began his legal career with the McCravy Law Firm after 13 years in the USAF both as an A-10 Thunderbolt II pilot and a NATO instructor. Before leaving the USAF, Mr. Newlon obtained a B.A. in English from The Citadel, an M.A. degree in Political Science from Midwestern State University, Wichita Falls, Tx., an A.A. degree in Paralegal Studies from Harford Community College, Bel Air, Md., and a certification in Accident Reconstruction from Norton AFB, Ca. After leaving the USAF, Jon obtained a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Mr. Newlon has taught higher education courses in business law at Lander University and Erskine College and alternative dispute resolution at Piedmont Technical College. Mr. Newlon began in private practice in 1998. Mr. Newlon is licensed to practice in all South Carolina trial and appellate courts including Circuit Court, the South Carolina Court of Appeals, and the South Carolina Supreme Court. Mr. Newlon is also licensed to practice in Federal District Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals. Mr. Newlon has also been admitted to other states for various cases.
Blake Alderson
Blake Alderson is an attorney licensed to practice law in South Carolina, having joined the South Carolina Bar in November 2025. A Camden native, Blake earned his Juris Doctor from the Joseph F. Rice School of Law at the University of South Carolina in May 2025. During his time in law school, he gained valuable practical experience through clerkships with the SC 6th Circuit Court Solicitor’s Office and the Office of Attorney General’s PCR Division, as well as an internship with The Honorable Brian Gibbons of the 6th Circuit Court of South Carolina.
Blake’s academic foundation includes a dual bachelor’s degree in history and philosophy from Villanova University, earned in 2022. This interdisciplinary background equips him with strong analytical and critical-thinking skills that inform his legal practice. He graduated cum laude and received honors in both disciplines, inducted into Phi Alpha Theta (the History Honor Society) and Phi Sigma Tau (the Philosophy Honor Society).
